Mrs Wilson and I have been so amazed this week by the resilience, enthusiasm and effort that Class 6 have put into their KeyNote presentations. They have celebrated everything they have learnt about Space by creating an interactive presentation using the KeyNote App!
We were extremely impressed with Safah who took on the challenge with the utmost enthusiasm and also become a mini teacher with supporting others in the classroom. She wowed Mr Padley with her knowledge and digital skills! A BIG WELL DONE!

Finding and making shapes in class 3
Date: 2nd Dec 2021 @ 4:01pm
This week in class 3 we have been looking at 3D shapes. The children had so much fun making their own 3D shapes using sticks and play dough, thinking carefully about how many vertices, edges and faces each shape had.
We also got the chance to go on an exciting 3D shape hunt around school, looking all around to see what shapes we could find in the corridors and outside. We found lots of different 3D shapes around school. The children were particularly excited by the Christmas tree (Cone) and the glittery baubles (Spheres).
This week the children got into the Christmas spirit, taking part in some Christmas Cosmic Yoga with Mrs Roscoe. We were so impressed with how hard the children tried carefully to match each individual pose.

Click to see what Year 6 have been learning this week
Date: 26th Nov 2021 @ 12:10pm
Hello,
This week Year 6 have been completing their Year 6 assessments. They have worked really hard and shown a very strong commitment towards them.
For our writing this week, the children have focused on a book called 'War Diaries' which is a compilation of various diaries from individuals during the Second World War. The children have had a task to create their own version of a 'war diary' and have impressed with their level of creativity and writing. We hope to continue and add further writing in our diaries next week.
Lastly, we are really impressed with the high number of children who have attended the booster sessions after school - Well done to all Year 6 pupils, keep it up!
Have a safe and lovely weekend all,
Mrs Khalil and Mr Bottomley

This week was very busy in Reception. Nibbles the book monster was spotted in school - he left a trail of footprints all over Class 1! We were very worried as he likes to eat books amongst other things like soap and smelly socks. We created Wanted Posters so that the other children in school could help us to catch him and finally on Friday afternoon the children who were playing outside made a trap to catch him and put him back in his book. Great job Reception!
In Maths we were finding circles and triangles inside and outdoors and creating obstacle courses to show off how fantasteic we are at positional language.
In the afternoon we had great fun challenging our senses in different ways - feeling slimey jelly in a feely box was a firm favourite! We also looked at the work of Artist Andy Goldsworthy and created some natural artwork of our own.

Class 8 have been investigating in Science which material would be best used for protecting your eyes from the sunlight. They said opaque objects would be best to block the sun but then you couldn't see, so they decided translucent materials would be best used because they would allow the light to pass through. What great scientists! Also this week the children have used Clips on their iPads to retell the story of The Stone Age Boy using puppets and then they added speech. They worked great in their teams.
