Rewards

Our rewards and sanctions are consistent throughout the academy, so that children have continuity from class to class and have a better understanding of acceptable behaviour.

We recognise and reward helpful and cooperative behaviour, good work and achievement.

Our number one reward - Praise and a smile

Stickers and diddi dot cards - A whole school approach means that all staff, including middays, can give stickers. Pupils have booklets in which they can save their stickers.

Star of the week - Across the academy, certificates are presented to pupils who are Stars of the week in assembly and they have their photos taken. Each child's parents also receive a message from the Head of Academy letting them know how well they've done.

Reading Champions- Each week children from EYFS, Key Stage One and Two are chosen for being super readers at home and at school.  The children receive a Reading Champions badge and have their photograph taken for the Twitter feed.

Word Millionaire- Once a month, classes in Key Stage 2 have the chance to be the 'Word Millionaires' based on the amount of words their whole class has read within the month.

Attendance Heroes- In whole school assembly a child from each of EYFS, Key Stage One and Key Stage Two with 100% attendance are chosen as our heroes of the week.  They receive a certificate, their name goes in the newsletter and they are entered for our termly prize draw.

Half Termly Attendance Class Winners- At the end of each half term, the class with the highest attendance will be rewarded with a cinema afternoon.

Termly Attendance Tea Party- All children who reach 100% attendance are invited (along with their parents) to an Afternoon Tea Party to celebrate!
