Year 1 Weekly Blog WB 4/11/2024

This week we have started some of our new topics. In Science we have started learning about seasonal change and in History we have started to learn abour dinosaurs. 

In English this week we looked at a lovely book called Tree. Here is a link to a video of the book if you would like to watch it at home.

We have looked at the beautiful illustarations and used them to help us to describe the setting in each of the different seasons. We bacame authors and illustrators when we designed our own big write sheet inspired by the book.Next week we will be writing in character as the owl.

In Maths we have been using ten frames to show and recognise amaounts. Next week we will be using them to look at number bonds and addition.
