Year 1 Weekly Blog WB 17/9/2024

This week Year 1 have been doing lots of fantastic learning!

On Tuesday we had an amazing opportunity to meet the author Kevin Sinfield who alongside his friend Rob Burrows wrote the book Try. The children heard all about his early life and later life in sport. They then listened to him read his book and answer questions. They were really lucky to meet such an amazing author!

This weeks English learning has been based on the bool Martha Maps it out.

The children did some amazing drama learning at the start of the week creating Marthas bedroom with their body's, this helped them to write a settibng description of the bedroom as their BIg Write.

In Maths the chilldren have been ordering numbers all the way up to 30 - next week we will be finding one more!
