07/02/25- This week in Year 5

It has been a brilliant week of learning in Year 5. The children have been tapping into their comedic sides with their writing this week and writing from the perspective of Toad from 'The Wind in the Willows' has been a great opportunity to develop our writing tone and style. Please do ask your child what they think of this week's writing to see if they can share their knowledge with you.

We have also been using the 'makerspace.' to create multimedia river collages. The outcomes are excellent and we are so, so, so impressed by the creativity of the children and the brilliant artwork that they have created. 

Next week there are so many exciting things taking place. There is the Harmony Trust SumDog competition that the children have already shown they are excited to compete in and we have visitors coming in from ATKINS, a geological firm, to do our fantstic finish for our 'River Deep, Mountain High'. We are so excited for next week and we hope that you are too. Please make sure all of the children come in with a smile on their face, ready and looking forward to everythig we have got planned!
